The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Shokhin said that the current situation in Russia is close to the time of perestroika, reports owned by Grigory Berezkin, the Agency RBC.
Speaking at a business Breakfast Sberbank at the St. Petersburg international economic forum (SPIEF), Shokhin reminded of the early 80-ies, when Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev announced a program of accelerating scientific-technical progress and economic growth.
“Then, after a year or two, perestroika began — that is, the program of institutional reforms. I think we are very close to repetition,” — stated the head of RSPP.
He also stressed that Russia needs high economic growth to implement the national projects and achieve high rates are real reforms.
Earlier at the forum argued that the head of the accounts chamber Alexey Kudrin and Minister of economic development Maxim Oreshkin. They differed in estimates of the growth prospects of the Russian economy.
