On the territory of Russia was tested technology, which will soon become available everywhere. He was made the first country in the history of video call in mobile networks of the fifth generation, though international, and the experiment went very well.
Tested Nokia, Rostelecom and MegaFon, and everything was built on the basis of experienced Russian networks. Of course, nobody is talking about use of domestic equipment, the production of microelectronics in Russia is dead for a long time. However, the important fact of the call is committed, so that our country is not so far behind other countries where mobile network 5G is already in full work. In the experiment, a call was made between subscribers of MegaFon and Tele2.
In the future 5G cellular networks in Russia will work in frequencies from 4.8–4,99 to 25.25 GHz–29,5 GHz depending on which frequency you will receive the operators. However, it makes no sense to expect the emergence of 5G in the next couple of years – first, these networks will be built in St. Petersburg and Moscow, and only then they will slowly begin to cover the depths.
