Russia has blocked the us draft on gimatecan in Syria

The UN mission and the OPCW to investigate cases of use of chemical weapons in Syria without a mandate.

Russia in the UN Security Council has blocked 16 November, the us draft resolution on the extension of the work of joint UN and the Organisation for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW) to investigate the use of chemical weapons in Syria. The mandate of the investigation Commission expires on the night of November 17.

Earlier, Russia introduced its own draft resolution, but withdrew it on November 16 after other members of the UN security Council voted against it voted immediately after the consideration of the American document, which was supported by 11 members of the UN security Council.

Since the war began in Syria in 2011, Russia for the tenth time vetoed a resolution for this country in the UN Security Council.
