Russia free of charge delivered to Gabon in Central Africa of small arms. This is the first supply of weapons in the history of relations between States.
As RIA “Novosti”, the defense Ministry said that law enforcement officers in the African country will use these weapons for the protection of national parks and anti-poaching.
The Ministry said that the Russian Federation supports the program of Gabon for the protection of rare animals, including forest elephants, which are killed for ivory and often financed by the proceeds from the sale of a criminal organization.
