Russia box office (14 – 17 September 2017): IT goes to a billion!

We were wrong and happy to admit my mistake. I personally was not right in saying in the last review of box office that “It” is unlikely to collect the rent Russia billion rubles, which is more likely the film can take the milestone of 800 million. This mark – 800 – based on the novel by Stephen king has reached the second weekend.

This was possible due to the good fees on weekdays and the low percentage of drop fees for the weekend. In total at “It” almost 810 million. And take a billion film, in General, able already in the third week of hire. Wow! Billion of cash from a horror movie when this happened?..

On the second place of the top domestic Comedy “Partner”, which could overtake the film “Mama!”. New work by Darren Aronofsky off to a good start Thursday, but then lost the competition to another new hire. However, in the asset of “mom!” nearly 66 million rubles – too bad.

Domestic “Gogol. The beginning”, despite the mixed criticism, collected in three weeks is already more than 417 million rubles, and is among the highest grossing and most successful releases of Russian production.

And about the success of genre cinema. Thriller “Claustrophobia” a good start, having collected from 548 screens over 16 million rubles. Don’t want to brag (although what is really there, I want to), but it including, apparently, the result of placing advertising on sites of horrors like ours 🙂
