In a Network there was a new frame from a mystical drama Director and screenwriter David Lowry “the Story of the Ghost” (A Ghost Story). The film is first called a “Horror story”, but now it seems to be a much more appropriate title. It is the author’s cinema, which made a great impression on the audience in January of this year at the Sundance film festival. The horror here is not worth waiting, but this project does not seem less interesting.
The story of the Ghost, who, being a man, prematurely left our world and is doomed to eternal wandering in the vicinity of their former home. Covered with a white sheet, he watches over his grieving sweetheart. Continue this bundle of energy will be the invisible witness of the endless long years, and his only companion will be the time inexorably mcadie mankind to the unknown.
Unusual, sad, and symbolic. Ghost in an ordinary bed sheet with cut out eye holes is a great solution. In General, while all available materials, what is called, give to feel the mood of the film, a SIP of strangeness, to touch someone else’s tragedy. It looks damn atmospheric. Seem past the “Stories” could not be disregarded.
The main roles in the film played by Casey Affleck (“the Killer inside me”) and Rooney Mara (the remakes of “the Girl with the dragon tattoo” and “Nightmare on elm street”). About the Russian premiere is unheard of, but in foreign theaters the film will start showing in summer. Maybe I’ll get it to us. But since this movie is from the category of “not for everyone”, we are unlikely to see a wide hire.
