Roland Garros-2017: Stakhovsky confidently made it to the second round

The second racket of Ukraine Sergiy Stakhovsky successfully overcame the starting round of the Open championship of France on tennis.

After successfully overcoming the qualifying first opponent Stakhovsky in the main draw was a tennis player from Chinese Taipei’s Lu yen-Hsun, who is in the ATP rankings 60-th row. Asian in the main draw at Roland Garros since 2004, won just two wins, but because Stakhovsky was the favorite of the match.

Two fly set Stakhovsky took a similar style – Ukrainian organized one break, and his serve did not allow a single break point. In the first set, he won 93% of the balls from the first feed and the second batch of 83%.

In the third set, Lu was twice in one ball from the break points, but Stakhovsky every time due to the high quality of first filing has distanced opponent on the much desired break.

In the tie-break the Ukrainian made two mini-breaks, and on his serve and lost only one draw. The first and only match-point Stakhovsky converted a spectacular shot one-handed backhand like Roger Federer or Stan Wawrinka.

Sergiy Stakhovsky for the fifth time in his career will play in the second round of Roland Garros. Next opponent from Kiev, most likely, will be 10th-seeded David Goffin.
