In March 2014, in an attempt to break the world record Vasyl Lomachenko already in his second fight on a professional ring he tried to become world champion. Two-time Olympic champion suffered a controversial defeat against an experienced Mexican Orlando Salido, who in the ring was memorable not so much your skill as dirty Boxing and methodical blows below the belt.
Rumors about the organization of revenge did not subside with the end of the first fight, but Salido had dared to enter the second fight with Lomachenko. The Mexican Manager Sean Gibbons confirmed the consent of his client on revenge.
“Salido has agreed in principle to a rematch. Orlando agreed to the proposed financial terms. We did everything to give Lomachenko a chance to get his revenge for the only defeat in the professional ring.
Salido got older and a little more tired, and Lomachenko became stronger, it makes the upcoming bout intriguing. By Thursday we will all know”, – quotes the words of Gibbons “Boxing Scene”.
Promotion company “Top Rank” has already started getting ready for the big evening of Boxing. Revenge on Lomachenko-Salido will be held August 5 in Los Angeles at the famous arena “Staples Center”.
Your last fight Vasyl Lomachenko held in April of the current year Ukrainian champion by TKO dealt with Jason Sosa and extended his series of early wins to five matches.
