Data obtained from the station allowed the scientists to determine the mass of Saturn’s rings. The smaller, the younger of education at the orbit of the gas giant. The main objective of the Cassini mission is to study Saturn, its rings and largest satellite of the planet Titan. The same station launched on 15 October 1997 from Cape Canaveral in Florida and July 1 of 2004 went into orbit around Saturn. On 25 December 2004, Cassini separated probe Huygens, 14 January 2005 landed on Titan’s surface. The destruction of Cassini is scheduled for September 15, 2017 (the station will sink into the gas giant’s atmosphere).
