The government plans to raise the minimum wage in the future in accordance with the economic situation in the country.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of social policy with reference to Minister Andriy Reva.
“This figure will not be revised until 2017, and in 2018 or 2019 will be increased to account for possible negative consequences. We have proved by calculations the need to raise the minimum wage in the future and defended the right to revise this indicator in the future,” he said.
The Minister noted that the growth rate of the minimum wage will be at least more than inflation.
From 1 January 2017 the minimum wage in Ukraine was increased more than 2 times to 3.2 thousand.
