Nina Lin, one of the first women photographers magazine Life. First success brought her photo essays on the manners and customs of American society. Then came the fashion photos, portraits of celebrities and members of high society.
Nina Lin (Nina Leen) was born in 1909 in the Russian Empire, grew up in Europe, lived for some time in Italy, Germany and Switzerland, and then emigrated to the United States, where she lived until death, until January 1995.
First photos of Nina Lin appeared in Life magazine in April of 1940. In the postwar years, her pictures were popular and in demand. In my entire career of more than 50 works of Lin graced magazine covers. One of her favorite subjects was women. These black and white fashion and portrait photography Nina Lin did in the 40s and 50s years.
