Law enforcement officers during the searches in the household of one of the defendants in the case about murder of the journalist Vasiliy Sergienko in Kiev region found an Arsenal of weapons.

“Among the detected two units of the hunting smooth-bore weapon without the proper paperwork, a Kalashnikov rifle with three shops to him, 180 rounds 19-gauge it hunting smooth-bore weapons and 320 rounds of 7.62 ammunition to automatic weapons”, – stated in the message.
All found weapons were seized and sent for examination, said police.
In March 2014 Sergienko took an active part in election campaigns on the side of the opposition parties and also was an active participant of Euromaidan. 4 April of the same year it was stolen from the yard of his home in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. The next day the journalist’s body with multiple injuries was found in the forest in Cherkasy region.
