Residents of Russia warned about the rise in price of beef, pork and poultry

Prices for pork, beef and poultry in Russia may increase by at least 10%. With such a forecast made by national feed Association, write “news”.

According to experts, meat products will rise in price if the importers of feed additives will have to pay VAT over the past three years. According to the agriculture Ministry, the amount of additional accruals will be from 4 to 7 billion.

Experts explain that earlier additives for animals by default included in the list of products which were subject to VAT at a reduced rate. In recent times there had been discrepancies in the interpretation of this resolution. Therefore, the amendments were adopted, which clearly establish preferential status supplements 1 April 2019. However, the Ministry considers that importers have to pay VAT over and above the preferential rates for products imported to April 2019.

At the end of 2018, the RIA “Rating” cited data that spending on food in the budget the Russians began to make at 31.2%. According to experts, the prices for socially important products will soon overtake inflation.

Previously, due to the increase in VAT, rising prices for raw materials and changes in trade regulations manufacturers and retailers have already warned about the growth of prices for dairy products and sausage products, bread and alcoholic beverages.
