At the current state of Affairs, the situation could deteriorate.
The special representative of the United States Ukraine Kurt Volker is convinced that relations between the US and Russia are important, but they will be broken without finding a solution to the crisis in Ukraine.
He stated this in an interview with the Financial Times.
Walker noted that Russia’s policy in respect of Donbass “will not lead to good.”
“Russia is paying the price for the presence in the Donbass sanctions and politically,” he said.
According to the diplomat, while maintaining the current state of Affairs and the situation will deteriorate, and eventually diplomatic and economic relations with Russia will be frozen. In addition, Walker said that the situation in the Donbas not improving.
“There may be a feeling that the conflict is getting worse and will continue getting worse as long as we don’t do something,” said Walker.
