In Ukrzaliznytsya argue that the price of one million hryvnia for one toilet for the couchette car is quite adequate and installed by the manufacturer.
“Ukrzaliznytsia does not set the price of vacuum toilet systems of the closed type – it is formed by manufacturers of this equipment. In the announcement of open tendering in the Prozorro the expected rate on the basis of monitoring of price proposals of producers,” – said the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
The company stresses that the analogues of foreign production are on average 1.3 million per set, and the final cost of the item purchased will be determined after the auction with the winner and work to reduce the cost of the item purchased.
Ukrzaliznytsia also said that such toilets are installed in the aircraft and in the new cars produced in Ukraine.
