Railways again increased the fee for rental cars

The company constantly increases the rates.

“Ukrzaliznytsya” increased rates of payment for the use of private cars in the range of 0.9% to 21% depending on the type of car.

The new rates come into effect from July 28 – 30 days after publication in the newspaper “Uryadovy courier”, and they were approved by decision of the Board June 15, 2018.

According to them, most (21%) more expensive ore pellet cars – up to 907,2 UAH per day (including VAT), while in covered wagons and mineral fertilizer rates are increased by 19.5 per cent, respectively, to 817,2 925,2 UAH and UAH.

The pay rate for most common rail cars have increased by 10.7% to 720 UAH, on grain – by 8.9%, to UAH 855,6, platform-trucks – 8.2%, to UAH 522, cement – by 7.2%, to UAH 692,4, flatcars – by 7.5%, to UAH 547,2, tank – by 5.8%, to 684 UAH.

The least increase has touched the most expensive dump cars and hopper-batchers – by 2.8% to UAH 1196,4 and universal platforms – by 0.9% to UAH 538,8.

At the same time by the same decision, the Board of the “Ukrzaliznytsia” has significantly changed the coefficients of the empty run certain types of cars. If they had been the same for mineral, cement, ore pellet cars, flatcars, box cars and other – at the level of 0.61, from 28 July to cement they will grow up to 0,76, ore pellet cars – up to 0.85, mineral wagons – dumping cars to 1.04 – to 1.22, other cars to 1.02, while the flatcars will fall to 0.02.

In addition, the “Ukrzaliznytsia” decided to exercise its right to levy a surcharge in the amount of daily payment of the car on the operations related to the departure and arrival of the goods, and in the case of forwarding the goods. Transportation of cargoes with use of ferry and in case of overload of cargo in wagons of the other gauge will be interfaced with the necessary payment even for two days.
