Rada did not have time to consider the budget in time, the Ministry of Finance

The draft budget for next year was submitted to Parliament on 15 September, but the MPs have not considered it at the time, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The draft budget 2018 this year was submitted to Parliament on time, September 15, however, the deputies did not have time to consider it in the first reading in the specified by the legislation. This was announced by Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova in an interview LIGA.net.

“The first reading are the budget conclusions of deputies was to be held until October 20. We see that the Verkhovna Rada has not yet considered them,” Markarova says.

However, she clarified that the draft budget for 2018 is now ready for consideration. “The document has already been submitted to Parliament. On 2 October the budget Committee collected all comments of deputies to the project, turned 2285 edits totaling more than a trillion UAH. The Ministry of Finance has worked for them with the budget Committee, and the Committee has already prepared budget insights for consideration in the hall.” – said the Deputy Minister.

Consideration of the draft state budget of Ukraine for the year 2018, the Verkhovna Rada included in the agenda today, November 9. The Ministry of Finance expect that, despite the violation of the terms, next year’s budget will be adopted on time.

“If the Parliament will support fiscal insights, the budget is returned to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance, and we are finalizing the second reading. I hope that the delay in Parliament will be short-lived, we will return to the schedule this year will adopt the budget earlier than in the past,” – said the politologist.
