The head of the Transcarpathian regional state administration Gennady Moskal said that the President of the aggressor state of Russia Vladimir Putin allegedly threatened Viktor Yanukovych, the occupation of the Eastern and southern regions of Ukraine in case of signing the Association agreement with the European Union. The Chairman of regional state administration said in an interview to television channel 112 Ukraine, citing sources in the former ex-dictator.
According to Moskal, the Russian leader actually bribed Yanukovych a loan of $3 billion, he turned to the process of European integration.
“When I was supposed to go to sign the agreement (on Association with the EU – ed.), Putin said: “Never Russia’s borders with the borders of the EU and NATO. You need money – that’s three billion… go direct, but if you try to sign something, I take the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Zaporizhzhya region”, – he said.
According to Moskal, after a meeting with Putin, Yanukovych “all white” and the collected entourage of four people. “One of the four told me that he (Yanukovych – ed.) were so scared they didn’t want Europe to go, neither NATO nor the Association. He was thinking how to approach Putin,” – said the head of the Transcarpathian regional state administration.
