Vladimir Putin commented on the ongoing relations of Russia with the United States.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the decision to close the Russian diplomatic institutions in the United States was ill-considered.
He stated, speaking at a press conference during a summit in China.
Putin rejected as “naive” question about whether he was disappointed in trump.
As reported by a Russian news Agency, Putin said that trump is “not my bride, and I’m not his fiancé.”
On the question of how Russia would react if trump suffered impeachment, Putin said it would be “absolutely wrong” for Russia to discuss the internal politics of the United States.
Russian officials welcomed trump, when he was elected last year, Putin praised him as a man who wanted to improve relations with Russia. However, further U.S. sanctions against Russia and the US decision to close the Russian diplomatic institutions leave the relationship strained.
Putin said that the United States have the right to close the Consulate, but “this was done in a boorish way.”
“It’s hard to have a dialogue with people who have mixed Austria with Australia”, he continued, clearly referring to the mistake George Bush a decade ago that during a visit to Sydney in 2007 govrev on Austrian troops when he was referring to Australian troops.
“The American nation, America is indeed a great country and a great nation, if they can tolerate such a large number of people with such a low level of political culture”, – Putin said.
