Earlier Wednesday, during a visit to the new Jerusalem resurrection monastery, the leader of the public movement “the Ukrainian choice – the right of the people” Viktor Medvedchuk appealed to the head of Russia with a request to support the proposal on the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the so-called “LDNR”.

As reported, he declared the Russian leader that Ukraine is ready within the framework of the exchange of prisoners to free 306 people, looking forward to the release of Donetsk and Lugansk 74 people. “I think it would be a very important step in the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the peace in the Donbass”, – said Medvedchuk.

He asked the Russian President to support the proposal and talk with the heads of “LDNR” for such exchange.

Earlier it was reported that Putin has promised to speak with “DNR” for the exchange of prisoners in the Donbas.
