According to Putin, Russia is ready to save the transit of gas through Ukraine.
Russia is ready to extend the contract for gas transit through Ukraine in the event of a settlement of the dispute between Naftogaz Ukrainy and Russia’s Gazprom at the Arbitration Institute of Stockholm chamber of Commerce.
This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin together with the President of the United States Donald trump briefing in Helsinki in Finland.
“I have assured the President that Russia is ready to keep this transit. Moreover, we are ready to extend the transit contract, which expires next year, in the case of dispute settlement between business entities in the Stockholm arbitration court”, – said Putin.
In may, Putin assured German Chancellor Angela Merkel that after the launch of Nord stream-2 does not lead to the suspension of Russian gas transit through Ukraine.
However, earlier the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller said that after the launch of the gas pipeline Nord stream-2 and Nord stream, the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine will be reduced by 10 times.
We will remind that on July 17 to be held tripartite negotiations between Ukraine, EU and Russia on gas transit to Europe.
