Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the story of the murder of Tsar Ivan the Terrible’s own son was invented by the Catholics in retaliation for his refusal to make Russia Catholic.
This was the Russian President said during his visit to the mining plant in the Belgorod region.

Ivan IV Vasilyevich of the Rurik dynasty was known under the name Ivan the terrible. He was the first Tsar of all Russia (1547-1584). Famous for their barbaric and brutal methods of government.
