The canadian branch of Volkswagen has issued a teaser with a picture of Volkswagen Jetta of new generation, but no technical details have not yet been reported. Judging by the counter, the official presentation is expected in the framework of the Detroit motor show – after 49 days.

However, judging by unofficial photos that already walk on the Network, the sedan externally will change slightly. But the use of a modular platform MQB will increase its wheelbase, so the car will seem more stocky and dynamic. Despite the close kinship with the latest Golf, Jetta will be the original headlights, grille and bumper. And rear optics in the style of a sedan Audi A3.

The head of the North American branch of the brand Henry Warben promises an abundance of premium materials in the cabin and rich in technical equipment of the model. Naturally, these promises must in some way be reflected in the price.

For the North American market, the new Jetta will be equipped with 1.5 – and 2.0-litre petrol turbo engine. On diesel versions, in the light of recent events, can be forgotten. But a year later, the engineers promise to please lovers of the ecology of the hybrid option.
