BMW presented at the auto show in Shanghai, the most powerful modification M4 — 460-strong CS.
Theoretically, the novelty is in the family between M4 M4 Competition Package and GTS. However, given that all copies of limited series already sold out GTS, M4 CS was headed by the current ruler.
Relative to the M4 Competition Package power three-liter twin-turbo “six” is up 10 horsepower and 50 Nm (to 600 Nm) of torque. Connected with seven-step “robot” motor propels the coupe to the first “hundred” in 3.9 seconds (0.1 seconds faster) and up to 280 kilometers per hour and artificially limited maximum speed. With a manual transmission, the novelty will not be offered.
The BMW noted that nürburgring lap M4 CS was over 7 minutes, 38 seconds — 14 seconds faster than normal “emka”. For comparison, a hardcore M4 GTS took the track in 7 minutes 27,88 seconds.
