Published the first photos of “charged” Hyundai i30 N

Maximum speed – 250 kilometers per hour.

The new hot hatch became the first representative of the N-line, which will produce “charged” model of the Korean automaker.

Hyundai i30 N equipped with two-liter turbocharged engine T-GDI with direct injection. The unit will be presented in two levels of boost – 250 and 275 horsepower (with the optional Performance Pack set). Torque in both cases is 352 Nm.

Engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission featuring a reinforced clutch and short wings. From a place to hundred kilometers per hour front-wheel drive hot-hatch accelerates in 6.2 seconds. Maximum speed – 250 kilometers per hour.

In the facilities list of “charged” hatchback includes active suspension, limited slip differential electronically controlled active exhaust system, launch control for a quick start, the automatic double-declutching and a fully switchable dynamic stability.

The hot hatch is also equipped with the system changes modes of operation of the control system with four preset options (Eco, Normal, Sport and N) and one programmable – N Custom. In the latter case, the driver will be able to change the algorithms of the suspension, steering, stabilization system and differential. To change the modes with buttons on the steering wheel.

The development of the hot hatch was led by former chief engineer at BMW M GmbH albert Biermann, who joined Hyundai in 2014. Competitors novelties will be, for example, the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Peugeot 308 GTI.
