Study author Donald Sacco, a psychology Professor from The University of Southern Mississippi, spoke about his interest in how information transmitted by individuals, can help people solve problems related to survival and reproduction.

In the course of the study, participants were asked to answer the question whether they consider the world is a dangerous place. The scientists also tested how well participants can distinguish between genuine and fake smile.
After analyzing the results, the experts came to the conclusion that women, who viewed the world as a more dangerous place, as a rule, better to determine the authenticity of a smile than men.
