Protesters demand the abolition of the fare trucks on Federal roads system “Platon”.
The head of Association of carriers of Ukraine (ODA) Andrew Bogutin and another 11 people who took part in the protest against the system “Platon”, was detained in Khimki near Moscow and taken to the local police station.
The police detained them in the Parking lot near the hardware store “Leroy Merlin” on the Leningrad highway when trying to go to Moscow within the next protest.
As explained Bautin, truckers have once again decided to build a column in the direction of Moscow, after may 19 the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov has refused to participate in the scheduled Monday meeting to discuss the problem. Sokolov explained his decision by the fact that the conflict is localized and “no problems have been resolved is not necessary.”
On one of the machines, in addition to the flags of ODA, there were posters of no confidence in the government and the resignation of the President. Police have warned drivers about the need for five minutes to remove the posters, but they refused to do it, then the police drew up a Protocol, and 12 people were taken to the police Department.
As noted by the organizer of the action, the drivers stood one at a time, but police said it “looks like a meeting” and detained them under article 20.2: “organization of an unsanctioned rally”.
