Looks pretty serious. Well how serious can be a re-remake of the horror-Comedy “the BLOB” (The Blob). A few days ago, comrade Pavlov said that the remake can be played by Oscar-winning actress Halle berry (maybe a couple with the wonderful Samuel L. Jackson), and today we got is still pretty promotional art for the project.
This so-called sales poster, that is a poster designed to promote, to advertise the project to potential buyers of the rights for distribution to investors. That is sort of the poster “special purpose”. Important caveat – the emergence of this kind of art does not guarantee us that we will eventually see the movie itself. In the end, buyers-investors may NOT be interested in this kind of product.
The Director of the project’s still listed as Simon West. It is based (the project, not the Director, of course) on the film in 1958, who already had a remake in 1988.
Synopsis film 88, the year of issue is:
Fatal meteorite brought to earth terrible substance. Liquid plasma devours everything in its path, and the more victims is in its bottomless depths, the more this becomes a clot of black energy which brings death. Residents of a small American town do not believe in scary stories about the devil’s substance. Meanwhile, the bloody mass is approaching its outskirts.
When the role was intended for Jackson, his party was described as “the role of a scientist-biologist, Professor, who will try to destroy all and devour all in its path alien Drop”. In principle, I see no reason why a character couldn’t change the floor, if the producers decided to replace Jackson berry.
