Programmers have created a bot that helps people with alcohol dependence

Writing this bot, you may heal a serious illness.

To mark the 70th anniversary of the organization Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) in Brazil, to J. Walter Thompson in partnership with Facebook has created the first ever chat bot that helps people with alcoholism.

Teenagers in Brazil are starting to drink earlier than other segments of the population and do it to order in large quantities. The team of creatives managed to create a campaign that not only brings the AA to the teenagers, but also makes the process understandable for them way.

Within three months more than 34 hours of feedback from actual AA members were collected and converted into data that helped to train the artificial intelligence of the bot, allowing him to provide sensitive and personalized responses to anyone seeking help.

In addition to conversations with Other Anonymous users can connect users to local support groups. During the first week, more than 100 000 people, 60% of whom were teenagers, had a conversation with an Anonymous friend, and daily requests for assistance by email AA increased by 1300%.
