PrivatBank has decided to revive the mortgage market in Ukraine.
Public Privat will develop in Ukraine a mortgage jointly with the State mortgage institution.
This was reported by the Bank press service.
As noted, PrivatBank signed a cooperation Memorandum in the sphere of mortgage lending and leasing of housing the State mortgage institution, which will enable the Bank to intensify implementation of programs for affordable housing loans.
PrivatBank explains that the Memorandum of the Bank and SMI assumes that the Bank will be able to act as the primary mortgage lender on granting long-term mortgage loans and / or authorized agent of the SMI in providing citizens with housing.
For its part, the State mortgage institution will contribute to financing in domestic and foreign financial markets by issuing securities of the SMI, including those with additional security in the form of state guarantees and joint programs on mortgage lending and leasing housing.
According to the head of Consumer lending PrivatBank Andrei Kovtun, in cooperation with SMI the Bank gives the opportunity to implement a new program to provide housing for Ukrainians, especially the military, through a combination of advanced technologies of the Bank and the opportunities for promoting affordable mortgages with the state.
“Today, we together seek as soon as possible to restore the country’s mortgage lending based on global experience, new features and technologies that have a Bank. The active involvement of financing with our partners SMI and the state will help create a simple and affordable lease financing of construction of new housing for citizens, especially for those who protect the country and needs to improve housing conditions for their families,” said Kovtun.
