Presented with a clear shot from a great Sun star

In this photo it is noticeable that the outer atmosphere of a star heated unevenly.

An international group of astronomers unveiled the most high-quality the great Sun star. A study published in Astronomy & Astrophysics, picture lights is available on the website of the Dublin Institute for advanced studies.

In the picture, taken using the Observatory ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter Array), are the star Betelgeuse is a red supergiant located in the constellation of Orion at a distance of 650 light-years from the Sun.

In this photo it is noticeable that the outer atmosphere of a star heated unevenly, the reason for this scientists see, as in the case of the nearest to the Earth star, the magnetic field variations. Betelgeuse is about a billion times more than the closest star to Earth; when placed in the center of the Solar system, it would have reached Jupiter’s orbit.
