Poroshenko also criticized the visits by some members to Crimea.
President Petro Poroshenko has urged the Serbian Parliament to recognize the Holodomor in Ukraine of 1932-1933 a genocide against the Ukrainian people.
So, Poroshenko in the framework of the official visit to Belgrade, met with the head of the national Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maya gojkovic.
“The President of Ukraine and head of the national Assembly of Serbia (Parliament – ed.) discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation, in particular in the framework of parliamentary assemblies. The parties agreed on the importance of strict observance of the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries and prevent violations of this principle. In this regard, the President noted that the visit of a separate Serbian deputies in the Crimea occupied by Russia is unacceptable,” – said in the message.
The interlocutors also noted the importance of activation of inter-parliamentary dialogue.
“Petro Poroshenko has urged the Serbian Parliament to recognize the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people”, – underlined in the message.
The President invited the speaker of the Serbian Parliament to visit Ukraine for a visit.
