The President said that the peacekeepers should be where Russia stores weapons.
UN peacekeepers should be located throughout the occupied territory of Donbas, including the territories where Russia stores weapons.
This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko on his page in Facebook.
“Peacekeepers need to be present everywhere, including areas where Russia keeps weapons and the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border”, – he wrote.
“It would very quickly stop the flow of Russian troops, weapons, and ammunition. Potential aggression would be stopped”, – said Poroshenko.
The proposal of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin about the deployment of “blue helmets” just on the line of contact he called totally unacceptable.
“The main goal – they should be located throughout the occupied territory,” – said the President.
