Poroshenko said, when reduced the price of the petrol

The President of Ukraine said that the decline in prices for liquefied gas is expected in mid-September.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas should decline in the second half of September. This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko today during a visit to Lviv region.

Poroshenko noted that a significant proportion of drivers behind the vehicles with liquefied gas, and a sharp increase in prices can not remain without reaction of the authorities. “I want to emphasize that we have carried out the necessary consultations with the government, I spoke with the Prime Minister, we are absolutely clear and agreed approaches. Position one: the anti-monopoly Committee should take all measures to prevent monopoly and growth rates, checked all gas suppliers. And if it is discovered the fact of high profits, those who allowed it, will be fined, and the situation will return to normal,” he said.

According to Poroshenko, the second component is the geopolitical situation. “In the context of a hybrid war, when the main supplier of liquefied natural gas was the Russian Federation, decisions were made about the withdrawal or restriction of supply, just as has happened with natural gas. We must learn to live in the conditions of hybrid war”, – he said.

The President noted that ministries and producers to this request for production of liquefied natural gas, and blocked amounts from Russia should be compensated Ukrainian production.

“We expect results within two to three weeks, and in the second half of September, tasked… to reduce the price of liquefied petroleum gas and to bring to justice those who committed irregularities, if the facts are established”, – he said. Poroshenko noted that to clarify the situation will be brought Natspolitsiya and prosecutors.
