The Council of Europe has recognized Ukraine’s progress in decentralization, anti-corruption and judicial reforms. About it the President Petro Poroshenko said in Facebook.
“I welcome the decision of the Committee of Ministers in respect of Ukraine. Thank you for the high appreciation of Ukrainian reforms and support in fighting the aggression of the Russian Federation. The decision of the COE stressed the responsibility of Russia for the implementation of the Minsk agreements, primarily ceasefire and withdrawal of troops,” – said Poroshenko.
According to him, the European Council acknowledged the progress made in decentralization, anti-corruption and judicial reform, in particular in the restart of the Supreme court.
“We will continue close cooperation with the Council of Europe for reforms in Ukraine and introduction of European standards and to counter Russian aggression,” the President added.
