President Petro Poroshenko instructed to consider issuing residents of uncontrolled territories of Donbass and Crimea passports of the old sample.
He said this at a meeting on the preparations for the entry into force of the visa-free regime at the checkpoint Yagodin at the border with Poland.
According to him, it is necessary to do if there are problems with issuing biometric passports to residents of these areas.
“If we have no reason to give them a biometric passport urgently, in consultation with the SBU, the Ministry of foreign Affairs to submit for consideration of the Cabinet of Ministers the position that these citizens may be issued passports of the old sample,” – said Poroshenko.
