President Petro Poroshenko intends to soon visit Georgia. This is stated in his congratulatory message addressed to Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili on the occasion of the independence Day of this country.
“I am confident that our meeting during my scheduled visit to Georgia will give a substantial impetus to the further strengthening of dialogue at all levels and the intensification of the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries”, – said Poroshenko.
The President noted that successful reforms, sustained activities in the framework of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and sustainable development of friendly relations with States of the world contribute to the growing reputation of Georgia in the international arena.
“We are grateful for the unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and contribution to the struggle of the Ukrainian people against Russian invasion. In turn, Ukraine has consistently stands on the side of Georgia in defending the independence and rejection of her occupied territories”, – stressed the head of state.
Poroshenko also noted that both countries share friendly and strategic partnership relations established during the years of independence.
In conclusion, the President wished Georgian counterpart “good health and new successes in your responsible state activity,” and the Georgian people – “peace, harmony and prosperity.”
