Poroshenko met with commander of U.S. forces in Europe

The head of state emphasized that over the last four years, cooperation between Ukraine and NATO is increasing.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with the commander in chief of the US Armed forces in Europe, General Curtis Scaparotti and discussed issues of cooperation. On Monday, July 16, the press service of the head of state.

The President noted the bilateral cooperation and said that during the last four years cooperation between Ukraine and NATO is increasing.

Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine carries out reforms, strengthening your defenses and reforming the security sector, as a strategic goal for the country is to join NATO. The head of state thanked the US for assistance to Ukraine.

It is also reported that the President during his working trip to Odesa region visited the U.S. command ship Mount Whitney.
