Poroshenko meeting with trump: “a True friend of Ukraine”

The President noted that trump didn’t advise him, and wanted to know what can help Ukraine as a partner.

President Petro Poroshenko called the President of the United States Donald trump a true friend of Ukraine.

He told about it in interview to TV channel “Ukraina”, ICTV and “inter”.

“If to say my main impression from the visit to the United States and meeting with President trump, the key of his position was not to give advice. He clearly asked: “Peter, can I help you”. This position is a true partner, a true friend of Ukraine”, – he said.

On the question of whether the agreed trump to help, Poroshenko said: “it is Obvious”.

In General, Poroshenko described his visit to USA as historic.

“Why this visit, this can be considered historical? Because it’s not just the first meeting, the first leader of the United States, and your humble servant, but because we had a very important task to exchange views and provide arguments on the eve of the meetings that will take place in Hamburg in the format “the Big twenty”. This task is one hundred percent failed. Because were not just arguments, and the materials, evidence, photographs, maps, documents, chevrons and many other things that clearly prove Russian presence in the Donbass, – he said.

“The second point is that in a single day was very well arranged meetings with all major players in the new administration,” – said Poroshenko.
