The supply of arms from the United States will open the possibility of the supply of from other countries, said the President.

President Petro Poroshenko believes that if the United States will provide Ukraine with defensive weapons, this decision will open the possibility of arms supplies from other countries.

“The decision on providing Ukraine with defensive weapons will reveal the same opportunities with other countries,” the President said at the meeting with the Ukrainian community and Crimean Tatar organizations in the United States.

Poroshenko also said that during the antiterrorist operation killed more than 10 thousand citizens of Ukraine.

“Ukrainians – the nation of the world. But we paid more than 10 thousand of human lives for its independence,” he said.

The President also thanked the Ukrainian Diaspora for its contribution in making a positive decision on the introduction of sanctions against Russia.
