President Petro Poroshenko calls on people’s deputies to remove from the agenda of the Parliament submitted earlier a draft law on the establishment of the country’s anti-corruption court. He reported about it in Facebook.
The President warns that otherwise he will be forced to submit to the Verkhovna Rada his version of legislative initiative.
“I ask the deputies to withdraw from the agenda the old bill On anti-corruption courts, as recommended by the Venice Commission, and to clear space for a new project,” – wrote the head of state.
He reminded that next Friday marks a month after he had proposed to Parliament to speed up the process of the creation of the Higher anti-corruption court.
“My offer still stands. However, if in the beginning of next week I will see progress within seven to ten days prepare and submit the relevant draft law”, – said Poroshenko.
He noted that it was the desire to create the most favorable conditions for the enactment of the law. His project at the stage of writing, it needs to be agreed upon by various political forces.
