Poroshenko intends to liquidate the Pechersk court

Instead of Holoseievski district court and the caves will be created by the Central district court.

President Petro Poroshenko intends to liquidate the caves and the Goloseevsky district courts of Kiev and instead create a Central district court.

This is stated in the decisions of the High Council of justice (SCJ) of 21 Dec.

These solutions VSP approved draft presidential decrees on the elimination of 142 local and creating instead 74 of the district courts.

In particular, Poroshenko intends to eliminate the 10 district court in Kiev (Holosiyivsky, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenko).

Instead, they proposed to create Darnitskiy district court (in Darnytskyi region), the Dnieper district court (in the Desna and Dnieper regions), Podolsky district court (in Obolonskyi and Podilskyi districts), Solomenskiy district court (in svjatoshynskyi and Solomenskiy areas) Shevchenkivskiy district court (in the Shevchenko district).

Also, instead of caves and Goloseevsky regional court will be created by the Central district court of Kyiv.

On the territory of the Pechersk district are many buildings of Central bodies of legislative and Executive power. In this regard, the Pechersky regional court is one of the most important and most influential courts in the state.

Entered into force in September last year, changes to the Constitution stipulates that the implementation of the new administrative-territorial structure of Ukraine in accordance with the amendments to the Constitution in terms of decentralization, but not longer than until the end of 2017, the establishment, reorganization and liquidation of courts is exercised by the President of Ukraine. In 2018, the President will lose the right to establish courts and the power to establish, liquidate and reorganize the courts will go to Parliament.
