The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took part in the ceremony of farewell with eks-German Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
“Today Germany, Europe and the whole world said goodbye to Helmut Kohl the Big German. Great Chancellor who United Germany. A great leader who United Europe. And a great friend of our country, which saw Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in the family of European peoples”, – said the President of Ukraine.
“It was the ability to solve questions that, at first glance, it is impossible to solve. He found the correct language with the former Soviet Union. He has made significant steps to Europe was the world. That his efforts had created the Euro expanded European Union, the strengthened Euro-Atlantic integration”, – said Poroshenko.
He also stressed that today should learn from Helmut Kohl to solve complex issues. “I believe that with joint efforts we will return the world to Ukraine and to Europe”, – concluded the President.
