The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the leader of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin the successor of the dictator Joseph Stalin. About this Poroshenko wrote on his page on Facebook on the anniversary of the mass deportation of Ukrainians by the government of the former USSR.
“Today is the 70th anniversary of the mass deportation of the population of Western regions to Siberia and the Northern regions of the former USSR, was code-named operation “West”. Within one day then forcibly deported more than 76,000 people, to weaken the Ukrainian liberation movement” – wrote Poroshenko.
The President added that even after the Second world war, the followers of Stalin continued to mock the Ukrainian people, but could not destroy his free spirit.
“Even after the end of the bloodiest war – world war II – Stalin’s executioners continued to terrorize our people repression and deportations. But to destroy his free spirit and could not. Remember. We will be strong”, – said the Ukrainian leader.
