President Petro Poroshenko refused to unlock the Russian social network “Vkontakte”. It is stated in the answer of the head of state on the petition to unlock the social network published on its official website.
“Support for e-petitions on the abolition of the blocking of the Internet resource “Vkontakte” consider it impossible”, – stated in the message.
According to him, this social network “is widely used by the Russian secret service to promote Russian propaganda and special information operations against Ukraine and its citizens”.
In addition, said the President, blocking of “Vkontakte” to protect Ukrainian citizens from attempts to manipulate the public consciousness, as well as from harmful content “groups of death”.
We will remind, on June 19 petition to the President of Petro Poroshenko about the abolition of the blocking of the Russian social network “Vkontakte”, which received the required number of votes moved to the status “pending”.
