President Petro Poroshenko said that the visit of the Pentagon chief James Mattis is very important to strengthen the defense of Ukraine.
He said this during a working visit to Kirovograd region.
“Now for a joint celebration of the 26th anniversary of independence of Ukraine to Kiev symbolic will arrive Ministers of defence of our countries-partners, including the Minister of defense. James Mattis, a great friend of Ukraine and I am confident that these negotiations will be extremely important to strengthen the defense of our country”, – said Poroshenko.
He also recalled that in June this year he made his visit to Washington, where he held important talks with President Donald trump, as well as key Ministers of the United States.
