He said this at a meeting of the national security and defense on Monday, July 10.

“We have agreed with the representatives of law enforcement agencies, the government, and decided on devoting a substantial part of fulfillment of the budget on the sector of defense and security,” said Poroshenko.

In particular, the President said that they suggested the construction of a plant for the production of ammunition, with the introduction of new technologies, in full compliance with NATO standards, “which will provide vzaimozavisimost manufactured ammunition for the main calibers”.

According to the President, it will give the opportunity not just to gather ammunition and to ensure the production of its own raw materials. “We must therefore resume the power which in Ukraine before the Russian occupation. I put this position as one of the first priorities,” the President said.

Second position, he said, should be to purchase the latest weapons and military equipment it is proposed to allocate 1,6 billion hryvnias.
