Presidents Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Lukashenko visited the facilities at the Chernobyl NPP. This reports the press service of the Ukrainian President.
It is noted that the heads of Ukraine and Belarus during the events in connection with the anniversary of the accident at the plant honored the memory of victims of the Chernobyl disaster.
“Chernobyl of Ukraine – the unhealed wounds that we as a people live,” – Poroshenko signed his broadcast in Periscope.
After the event was scheduled negotiations Poroshenko with Lukashenko. On the website of the President of Belarus said that the fellowship will relate to the trade-economic sphere and political interaction, and “further efforts” for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass.
The Ukrainian President on Twitter wrote about his belief that “no one will ever be able to pull Belarus into a war of conquest against Ukraine.”
“We appreciate our friendship and cooperation. And the line Kiev-Minsk – is the axis of good, of friendship and peace,” said Poroshenko.
