The actor Nikolai Karachentsov was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumor in her left lung. This was reported by his wife Lyudmila Porgina.
“If found malignant. In February we had a suspected cancer, we flew to Germany, where we said it was just inflammation. But in September, during a routine examination they found a tumor. It is not operable. But we hope for the best,” she said.

In February of this year it was reported that Karachentsov has got to road accident in Moscow and was hospitalized.
