Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak was not able to meet with the head of the Pentagon by James Mattis. He stated this during his visit to Canada.
“We are looking for a contact to cooperate with US… I got a deep conviction that this meeting (with the Mattis – ed.) will be held in the near future”, – said the Poltorak.
He added that he “did everything possible to fly from Ottawa to Washington to meet with U.S. Secretary of defense”.
“But today in the United States major changes occur and they need a little time to fully analyze the situation. However, we are ready to cooperate,” – said Poltorak.
